@qgil: Don't suppose you'll be writing something about this at some stage? All the details aren't necessarily wildly clear to those of us internally, let alone everyone else. :)
@fooishbar: I knew about this yesterday as well, and I have mainly gone through the public information - which is big enough to digest. Since it's a move involving external companies I guess (and in fact I hope) that people like you and me don't know much more than what is public.
Of course there is always the corridors, and I was offering you to go for lunch anyway, so....... ;)
You probably saw Ari's blog post. The move is good for Maemo, it helps getting the open source message through and wide internally. If the Trolltech acquistion was not a strong enough signal, now it's definitely clear that Maemo is not the weird kid in the block.
